Old Woman Murdered Husband Buried Him in Backyard

Barbara Scott, 64, allegedly murdered her husband and buried his body in their herb garden because she was ‘tired’ of looking after him. Police say she blasted 78-year old Benny in the head in January and then planted rosemary and parsley over his body. She told friends he had left their home in Florida or was too sick to come to the phone when they asked about his whereabouts. Details of Scott’s scheme to cover up the alleged killing were revealed as a grand jury in Florida indicted her on first degree murder charges. Scott had told a series of stories to family and friends to explain why her husband went missing from the home they shared in January. She had initially told her daughter that her husband had slipped in the shower and suffered a fatal blow to the head. She later changed her story and claimed her husband had committed suicide and shot himself.
